Deepening tech discourse in the Philippines & broader Southeast Asia
Narratives of technology from the tropics, and our entanglement with calamity, extremes, and control
Technology.ph is a publication by Developh aiming to deepen technological discourse by examining how the Philippines and broader Southeast Asia builds, uses, resists, and shapes technological systems. We begin by broadening our framing of what ‘technology’ is and who the ‘technologist is’.
We are not interested in generic tech solutionism or outright pessimism. Rather, we are interested in work that critically and thoughtfully unpacks and demystifies technology, providing a framing where all are involved in its making.
